Carl has nearly 20 years of ministry experience serving ministries in Ohio, Oklahoma, Massachusetts. He also served as the Executive Director of Christian Endeavor International, creating TeamCE and Leaderwalk.

As an author, his book, The Secrets of the Simple Youth Ministry has been read in over 80 countries. He is also the co-author of Godsize Stories from Around the World with national prayer leader Eddie Smith of the U.S. Prayer Center. He is currently working on a book to be published by Prayer Point Press called, How to Strategically Pray for a Teen. He is also the creator of all the StoryGiver™ stories.

He has had the privilege of speaking to thousands of teens and adults throughout the United States and Canada. He has also been featured nationally on radio and internationally on television sharing his passion for God to move powerfully in the lives of teens.

Carl completed his graduate work through Harvard, Gordon-Conwell, and Ashland. Carl and his wife Nikki live in Ohio with their thirteen year-old daughter (Taylor), nine year-old son (Tanner), seven year-old son (Tate), and their dog (Dude).
